Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

Red wine and pasta for dinner.

Did you find the rock gardens challenging?

Moderate compared to Michaux. Great mix for racing.

Were the other riders courteous when passed or passing?

Yes, they were all very courteous. There were plenty of places where two riders could fit easily on the trail with a little effort.

What was your favorite part of the course?

All the places with double black arrows pointing down. I loved the fast descents.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I was a little slower at the start than usual and I was not in a great position when I entered the singletrack.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

No.

When did you put the hammer down?

I ate a little at the end of the first lap and felt strong the rest of the race.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes! The course was marked well, the starts were staggered and the results were posted in a timely manner. I also liked the raffle for all of the racers. Great job on organizing the race!

Is there anything you would like to add?

I met a lot of great people and I hope to see you all at the next race. Thanks to Don and Bill for all of their hard work!!
