How was your fitness level going into this race?

Your first race of the year is always tough but I think I am ahead of last year.

Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?

Yes!! I was first.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Felt good most of the race. Ken Stadden and I were together all race till the last climb on lap 3. He was stronger from there. Good job Ken!!

When did you put the hammer down?

Stayed most same pace with Ken all race. I faded a bit towards end of race. I think working on race course all week and getting set up Saturday and Sunday morning caught up to me.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No things went very well. Had fun!!

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

I thought things went great!! For the turnout we had all went well. A big thanks to all who helped out, I could not have done it without them.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Just talking with everyone and seeing a lot of friends again is always great.
