How was your fitness level going into this race?

I felt it was good.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

I was third and when I tried to pass Ken and John I hit the back wheel of Johns bike and crashed so once I got up I got off a bit slow and had to go get them.

Were you strong from start to finish?

It took almost all of the first lap to get my rhythm through the twisty stuff but then I got it together and felt stronger towards the end.

When did you put the hammer down?

I knew I had to pick it up and ride smooth on the last lap. Starting lap 3 I knew Ken was not far behind so I tried to ride smart and steady.

Did you have any unusual problems?

I fell a few times in the first 3 miles or so. I kept trying too hard and hit the back wheel of Johns bike a few times.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

I thought it was great!! No Cents Racing and the crew did a top notch job!!

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

The crowds cheering in some of the sections was very cool!! It does push you on.

Anything you would like to add?

I would like to say great job to Ken and John the 2nd and 3rd place riders in my group. Riding with great people and having fun is what it is all about. See everyone on June 9 at Fell Mountain. This is a fun but very challenging course. Joe Tierny always puts on a great event at Fell Mt.
