Cheesy mashed potatoes and a glass of red wine the night before

Did you achieve your goals for this race?

Absolutely, I just wanted to survive!

Were you strong from start to finish?

I wasted too much energy during the cattle drive at the beginning, then my Clif Shots tore off my stem due to excessive bouncing, therefore the finish was not stellar.

Did you change your race strategy after encountering the more difficult course this year?

Didn't race last year

What was your favorite part of the course?

Grave Ridge

When did you put the hammer down?

There was no hammering, I just tried to keep pedaling.

Due to the heat and difficult course did you have any problems with cramping or dehydrating?

I had problems with my body I've never discovered before.

Did you have any unusual problems?

The post-race catatonic state I entered was troublesome.

How would you rate the course?

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Like most, I was confused with the start

I've never ridden anything like it, I'm going to seriously consider a suspension seat post or full suspension bike for next year.
