Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
Not really, lowered tire pressure, and ate a lot of food that I shouldn't have.
Did you like the way Guy's ran each category separately to reduce traffic due to the large turnout?
Yes
Were you happy with your choice of tires?
Yes. The Geax tires held very well in the mud.
What was your favorite part of the course?
The huge mud bog (I forget which one)
Were you strong from start to finish?
I had a good first 3 laps, but I bonked in the last lap.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
I crashed twice, and had some interesting conversations with the dude with the camera.
When did you put the hammer down?
Off the start. After that I just kept the best pace I could.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Crashing is a pretty usual thing for me, so no.
How would you rate the course?
It's a great course, but personally I like it better when it's less muddy, and a lot faster.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes.
Is there anything you would like to add?
The race was a lot of fun, and I look forward to doing it again next year.
