Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

No, it was short so I didn't bother too much

Did you like the way Guy's ran each category seperately to reduce traffic due to the large turnout?

Yes yes yes very good idea

Were you happy with your choice of tires?

Somewhat. I think if I hadn't been so lazy and prerode the course I wouldv'e slipped on something a little less grabby like my specialized 1.7's

What was your favorite part of the course?

The pines was great but most everypart was fun. you just had to love those little outcropping of roots at the top of each climb

Were you strong from start to finish?

So so. I got into a rythym partway thru the first lap which held until the middle of the third lap. Then I just sort of held on.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

The girl in the green skirt and the boots was killin' me and the nice woman in the white shorts and the yellow top was outstanding. Thanks to both!!

When did you put the hammer down?

Well, Bob, Bill and I were thinking we'd just noodle around the course and then have fun at the finish but, then Bob had to put the pass on me in the first lap, which made me want to start racing

Did you have any unusual problems?

Somewhere during the last lap I couldn't figure out where I was in the course. I didn't know if I was at the beginning or the end of the lap. It sucks to get old, folks

How would you rate the course?

I had to say I loved it. I was hoping for some more technical stuff but you can't have everything

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Absolutely. top notch. props to Guy's!

Is there anything you would like to add?

This series is the biggest thing to hit the race scene in this area ever. Let's take a long term view and do what's right for the trails and our ability to use them in the coming years.
