How was your fitness level going into this race?

Oooh, haven't been riding much. Not the best right now, but not the worst.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

I think I was about 3rd and that was fine with me.

Were you strong from start to finish?: No, much stronger towards the finish. I need to learn how to warm up!

When did you put the hammer down?

On lap 3 to pass Laurie, then had to slow, then did a hard lap 4.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Not really. I clipped a tree in the beginning before getting into the groove of that twisty stuff but didn't lose any major skin over it. And I almost endo'ed over a log (I'm glad I can say "almost"!)

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, they did a great job. Thanks to Guy's for promoting the race!

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Some encouraging spectators at the top of that little bugger of a hill that I, and hopefully everyone else or else I'm embarrassed, walked/crawled/scratched my way up. Cheering always helps! And I sang 'No Doubt' songs all through the race (made Mike listen to the CD the whole way to the race) which helped to keep me motivated.
