Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
The only thing special I did from my normal routine is pre-ride the course on Wednesday before the race.
Did you achieve your goals for this race?
Yes, I exceeded them.
Were you strong from start to finish?
Yes
When did you put the hammer down?
About 1.5 laps into the race I was able to break free from the other riders. From that point, I just kept riding hard.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Tires were a little too "slick" to get any traction, but it seemed everyone had that problem.
How would you rate the course?
Overall, it was a good course.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
The only problems I noticed was the amount of lapped traffic on the course. It would have been nice to have the sport and expert classes races separately. The other problem was the amount of time it took to give out the awards.
If you could do the race again - would you do anything differently?
I can't say there is too much I would do differently, since I took first in my class.
Is there anything you would like to add?
I think everyone had a good time at the race and overall it was organized pretty well.
