Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
I cleaned my bike a lot but unfortunately the Hibernia mud undid my work. I ate a power bar before the race along with a bunch of Gatorade.
Did you achieve your goals for this race?
No, I was hoping to come in first place but the last lap really did me in.
Were you strong from start to finish?
Not in the very end I was dying..... I think I must have bonked. I found myself yelling in my head "power bar", "power bar".
Don Morrison and Wissahickon Cyclery did a great job putting together this race and we thank them for their efforts. Was there anything that you observed that could be done better as the series progresses?
The awards ceremony could have been sooner.
When did you put the hammer down?
I really hammered down when we got to the thick mud, were the crowd was very intense.
If you ran into these exact trail conditions again, would you do anything differently?
I would have ate more food before I raced and worn more clothing.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Not really
How would you rate the course?
Out of 10? Probably a 6
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yeah
Is there anything you would like to add?
More hills hahahaha
