• How was your fitness level going into this race?
   
  It was OK. I rode a lot this winter to be prepared for this season. I think it was worth it.
   
  
• Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
   
  Yes, I was third. I wanted to be in the top five going into the singletrack. Being third was a plus since this was my first race.
   
  
• Were you strong from start to finish?
   
  Yes. My first lap was faster than my second but, I felt stronger and more confident in the climbs on the second lap.
   
  
• When did you put the hammer down?
   
  On the second lap when I passed the leader on the big climb.
   
  
• Did you have any unusual problems?
   
  Except for falling two times, no.
   
  
• Were you happy with the way the race was run?
   
  Yes, again this was my first race I was impressed with how organized things were. And how on time the event ran.
   
  
• Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
   
  No.
   
  
• Anything you would like to add?
   
  I had a lot of fun, everyone I met was friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to competing in the rest of the series.
