Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
I quit my job.
Did you make it up all of the hills?
Yeah.
What was your favorite part of the course?
The very steep grass hill at the end 'cause I always pull away on it. (Muncle's Revenge)
Were you strong from start to finish?
Yes
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
The first lap on the back section along the river......when you are flying down the fire road and then you cut up the hill real quick to the right.......... that was a little interesting the first lap because I didn't know it was there.
When did you put the hammer down?
The whole race. I pretty much kept it steady the whole time.
Did you have any unusual problems?
A little bit of chain suck....... not too bad though.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes....... one thing I would like to suggest about the way they do the payout......... They should specify how they do the payout before the race even starts. That should be the first information on the flyer. The way they do it in road racing ....... they say how much they are going to payout and how deep. One of my suggestions would be to combine the whole pro/expert class and pay 20 to 25 deep. The top riders in each of those classes is in the top 25. That's just my suggestion....... I feel like that would work out really well.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Good to be out here having a good time.
