Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race

Yes, had a good long ride at French Creek the Sunday before the race, then a few light rides during the week.

Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?

No, the field was fairly small and everyone kept moving, even off the bike.

How did you like the climbs?

Had some trouble with the first single track climb after the start but other than that everything was great.

Were you strong from start to finish?

For a change, yes I was. Last lap I felt the strongest, amazing what being in front can do.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, everything went very smoothly

When did you put the hammer down?

Last lap.

Did you have any unusual problems?

There was some confusion as to when the race was over and a few people went into the finish before their last lap. Caitlyn was in front of me and went into the finish, thats when I passed her because I thought we had one more lap, but people were saying I was done so I circled in the parking lot until Caitlyn came past and said we did have one more lap. I heard later that a few other people also went into the finish early.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Single-speed Paul (FSVS) tried to give me a ginger snap cookie as I rode by the lower parking lot on my first lap. Thanks Paul but it was a bit early for sugar.

Did you feel any extra excitement since this is the final Super Series race?

Yes, the pressure was definetly on. I have been close a few times to the first place spot but haven't quite been able to get it, so this not only was the last race of the year but my last chance for a win this season.

If you had just ONE thing that you could change to make next year's series better....... what would that be?

I think the series has been a great succes. Bill and Don have done a super job in putting this all together, but if I HAD to pick just ONE thing to change that would be lower entry fees, maybe 20 dollars?

Anything you would like to add?

I would like to thank my teammate Karen for giving me motivation and inspiration throughout the series.
