Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
I have been training for the Snowshoe National and the training I'm doing has really helped me in not only preparing for that race, but also for these local races.
Did you find the rock gardens challenging?
I don't think they were that bad especially after doing races like Michaux.
Were the other riders courteous when passed or passing?
I had no problems.
What was your favorite part of the course?
I really liked the first section...the part that was really smooth and fast...it was a lot of fun.
Were you strong from start to finish?
Yeah...I felt pretty good.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
No, not really.
When did you put the hammer down?
Right form the start...I wanted to get away and make a gap early and then just keep a steady pace.
Did you have any unusual problems?
No...besides the trees that jumped out in front of me.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Definitely...it was all really well organized especially the staging...and the raffle was very generous.
