Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race?
I usually do a moderate ride the day before the event. Prior to this event I rode at French Creek to get myself in tune for the technical rocky sections.
Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?
The marshals helped reinforce the marked entrance.
How did you like the long climbs?
What long climbs?????
Were you strong from start to finish?
No, the technical single track is physically more demanding then you realize because your focus is on navigation and not leg weariness.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes, it was a nice fun event. I just get tired with the long post race awards delays.
When did you put the hammer down?
The first short climb and last mile stretch of trail.
Did you have any unusual problems?
None
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Everything went smoothly.
Do you enjoy point to point races more than lap races?
Yes, because there are not any start delays and the trail seems less congested.
