Kevin Sullivan

Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

The guys from Team Highgearcyclery in NJ gave me some racing pointers before the race, which was extremely helpful, Thanks.

Did you achieve your goals for this race?

First Race ever, placed 2nd, good start.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I felt pretty good.

When did you put the hammer down?

To be honest I did not know where the finish line was, so I think I was a bit too conservative at the end.

If you ran into these exact trail conditions again, would you do anything differently?

Make sure my bike was as clean as possible before the race to avoid "chain suck" and gear skipping.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No, but I think I was in the minority, the mud hurt a lot of peoples performance.

How would you rate the course?

Relatively flat, on a dry day I'm sure that course would be a real fast one.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

No complaints here

If you could do the race again - would you do anything differently?

Not let the leader out of my sight in order to put myself in a better position where I could have won.

Is there anything you would like to add?

Great time, great people, lots of fun!!!
