What was your favorite Super Series race for 2001 and why?

They were all so much fun, but if I have to pick one, I think Fair Hill was the best. The course is really fast and just too much fun!

Pretend you are coaching your closest competitor........ what would you tell them to do differently in 2002 in order to beat you?

What, I can't answer that question. My training is top secret, unless you are a Wooden Wheels rider of course. But if you must know, I would recommend taking plenty of days off, never doing any hard efforts, and spend lots of time on the couch eating twinkies and drinking beer.

What is it about mtb racing (BESIDES WINNING) that is MOST fun for you?

The best part is all of the great people that are involved with mtn bike riding and racing; it's a very unique group.

What month do you plan on coming into fitness for the 2002 season?

I plan to be relatively out of shape for the whole season.

What month do you start your pre-season training?

Since I will be in Colorado in the Spring, I will begin training in February because it goes with the job.

How do you deal with riding in the winter conditions (cold, snow, ice, lack of daylight)?

I try to dress warmly and gain a little extra weight for insulation purposes only. I also spend more time in the woods in order to get out of the wind.

What are your goals for the 2002 season?

As always to have a good time

If there was just ONE thing that you would like to see improved for next year (2002) - what would it be?

I think the super series has done a wonderful job putting on races and creating this series for the Mid-Atlantic region. The only thing I can think of to improve upon is to expedite the results process at the end of each race.
