EXPERT MEN / VETERAN 35-44
SUPER SERIES CHAMPION 2001

Name: Jay Dodge

Team: Guy's Bicycle

Category/Class: Exp. Vet.

Place: 1st

Email: dodgej1135@aol.com

What was your favorite Super Series race for 2001 and why?

Fair Hill I always liked point to point races over lap races. They seem more like a ride than a race and when you go through a tough section you know you don't have to do it again.

Pretend you are coaching your closest competitor........ what would you tell them to do differently in 2002 in order to beat you?

Jay Dodge (center)

Be consistent you don't have to be the fastest racer to win the seires. But you have to do all the races. Bart lets me know all the time that I wasn't the fastest Exp. Vet.

What is it about mtb racing (BESIDES WINNING) that is MOST fun for you?

The comeradary with the other racers. Riding in other places that you probably won't ride unless you raced.

What month do you plan on coming into fitness for the 2002 season?

April

What month do you start your pre-season training?

I ski most of the winter up until the end of March that's when I start riding.

How do you deal with riding in the winter conditions (cold, snow, ice, lack of daylight)?

Good clothing, lights

What are your goals for the 2002 season?

I don't have any.

If there was just ONE thing that you would like to see improved for next year (2002) - what would it be?

Faster results, although most of the events went pretty well.
