What was your favorite Super Series race for 2001 and why?

I would have to say Fair Hill because I know it so well. I felt great that day. I also enjoyed Spring Mt. it had a little bit of everything.

Pretend you are coaching your closest competitor........ what would you tell them to do differently in 2002 in order to beat you?

No comment.

What is it about mtb racing (BESIDES WINNING) that is MOST fun for you?

I enjoy the competition, If I come out of a race knowing I was racing and giving it my all I'm happy. I also enjoy being part of a great team.

What month do you plan on coming into fitness for the 2002 season?

Not till early to midsummer. I try to push back my training every year. I enjoy racing cyclo-cross in the winter and it seems to help me extend my season if I don't go too hard too early.

What month do you start your pre-season training?

After cross I will start training again some time in March.

How do you deal with riding in the winter conditions (cold, snow, ice, lack of daylight)?

I'll ride a trainer and do some night rides on the Mt. bike.

What are your goals for the 2002 season?

The Super Series was great but it makes for a long season. I would like to mix it up a little more next year with both Mountain and Road racing. Maybe get my cat 3 license.

If there was just ONE thing that you would like to see improved for next year (2002) - what would it be?

Improved inner tube technology. I've never had so many flats. Or perhaps Ill just work on my technical skills.
