What was your favorite Super Series race for 2001 and why?

Actually I really enjoyed two races for the courses, Fell Mountain Challenge in Carbondale Pa. and Fair Hill Classic at Elkton,Md. Great courses!

Pretend you are coaching your closest competitor........ what would you tell them to do differently in 2002 in order to beat you?

Since I'll be dealing w/him next year I'd rather not say, he's a great rider and I'm sure he knows what he has to do! Right Dave?

What is it about mtb racing (BESIDES WINNING) that is MOST fun for you?

The cool people you meet like all the great organizers (who I'm sure would like to race that day) like "Don THEE Mon" to mention just one, the courses you get to ride and the competitors you meet battle against and become friends with.

What month do you plan on coming into fitness for the 2002 season?

March

What month do you start your pre-season training?

My cross training starts mid November strength training starts in December road work in February

How do you deal with riding in the winter conditions (cold, snow, ice, lack of daylight)?

Dress light and warm. The cycling clothing they have out now is great! There are no excuses anymore! Except for ice and snow.

What are your goals for the 2002 season?

To place within top 10 in the expert class.

If there was just ONE thing that you would like to see improved for next year (2002) - what would it be?

Just a suggestion: to give the ladies the course to themselves so they can better compete w/themselves instead of competing w/ the men, I've noticed some frustration from the ladies w/guy's that they have to pull over for. Maybe they could go before the beg. class.
