Joey Thompson

Did you do everything you could to be prepared for today's race?

Yeah I rode the course a bunch of times but only twice in that exact format because Brent kept switching it.(Just kidding nice job Brent)

Did you find the race course challenging?

Yeah, the downhills kicked my ass. I want dual suspension.

How did you like the Mega-Dip?

I love the Mega-Dip. It doesn't matter how many times I ride it, it is always a blast.

Were you strong from start to finish?

No not even close. My first and second lap I felt like crap and wanted to quit, and going into my third lap I was like 4 or 5 minutes down from first place. I started feeling better my third lap and felt great my forth lap. I caught Chris Kuhl with about five minutes left, I sat on his wheel, then at the finish he started to go left for another lap so I jumped by him and won by a couple wheel lengths.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yeah everything went smoothly. Hats off to the FSVS crew.

When did you put the hammer down?

At the start of the fourth lap.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Other than the fact that I felt like crap for 2 laps no.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

No.

Is there anything you would like to add?

Nice job to Chris Kuhl and you're the man Bill. Also, great job by the FSVS people. Thanks for a fun day of racing.
