Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

Let some air out of my tires because of muddy conditions

Did you like the way Guy's ran each category separately to reduce traffic due to the large turnout?

YES, missed this at Hershey.

Were you happy with your choice of tires?

Yes

What was your favorite part of the course?

All of it. I love this course.

Were you strong from start to finish?

First lap was tough to get in sync w/ mud. I got to the race late = no warm-up. Had most fun the 2nd & 3rd laps!!

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Spectators were great :)! Lots of cheering & race info getting exchanged. It helps to chase down some of the gals to know how far ahead they were from a spectators report. My teammates were yelling up to me. It motivated me to stay focused.

When did you put the hammer down?

It was hard to hammer thru the mud. You had to finesse it. I just tried to keep from screwing up by overdoing it. I did hammer thru the open fields.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Mud in the cleats. Same problems I imagine everybody had.

How would you rate the course?

Great, I'm partial to it.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, Guy's did a good job under the conditions. The race historically has been well run.

Is there anything you would like to add?

More sand. Nah, not really. The mud was a fun change since we are all so diligent about not riding when the trails are wet. Thanks to my teammates on FSVS and all our sponsors. Thanks to my fiancé, Paul for being the LOUDEST spectator cheering for me.
