Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race?

No.

Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?

No.

How did you like the climbs?

Fine.

Were you strong from start to finish?

No.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, except for that 1/2 lap. It confused some of us. We thought we were done & came thru the finish instead of going back thru for the last lap. It would have been helpful to have somebody let us know we had another lap to go at the split point.

When did you put the hammer down?

Usually on the climbs.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Yeah, I'll say. My fork completely died, no air at all in my 2nd lap. I paid for it on those bumpy downhill fields. Lost lots of time there had to slow way down. Also, in the techy, rocky downhill, my front wheel was not pretty loosey goosey. Oh well, my triceps got in a good workout.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Mostly the usual cheering stuff which is always great to hear!! :)

Did you feel any extra excitement since this is the final Super Series race?

I just wasn't too fired up for this one & the previous race. The season has been long. I race road, track, mtb & soon cross, so I've been ready for a race break.

If you had just ONE thing that you could change to make next year's series better....... what would that be?

The point spreads. Take a look at that. Whoever wins a race should get most points. 2nd place at least 4 or 5 points less (not just 2 points like this year). So, the top 5 finishers get the most points then maybe 2 pt separation betw places on down from there. DNF's should get 1 or no points. There should be Team Points Categories for small teams & larger teams to get recognition. Try to find some equitable way to boost smaller team recognition. It would be a shame to see riders leave teams to get recruited onto the larger teams, and start eliminating some of the smaller teams.

Anything you would like to add?

Seems like a lot of races for 1 series. Maybe consider eliminating a race from the series. Bill, thanks again to you for covering the series. Its been great seeing your snapshots of our painful, funny race antics.
