Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race?
Of course - 3 days of nothing before race day.
Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?
I had some problems with slower riders muddling around during the 1st climb in the woods.
How did you like the long climbs?
The climbs were good and as usual kicked by butt.
Were you strong from start to finish?
I had some problems during the 1st 4-5 miles in the rocky single track - most of this comes from impatience with other riders.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
The race was well organized although I did miss 3 turns - at times the single track was difficult to follow.
When did you put the hammer down?
I didn't really ever try to put the hammer down. This race course was about technical ability and saving enough oxygen for riding and running through congestion.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Yes- My HR/pedometer got ripped off my handle bars early on and I missed 3 turns.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Yep - I slapped jason on the as* after his chain fell off - poor guy!
Do you enjoy point to point races more than lap races?
No - I would rather race laps.
