How was your fitness level going into this race? Feelin' good! Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack? Scott Henry led me and Romolo into the woods, with Jay De Jesus not far behind. The long slog from the bottom of the field thinned things out. Were you strong from start to finish? Scott set a torrid pace, then unfortunately had to stop with what looked like some nasty chainsuck. I was left on my own the rest of the race, and the pace mellowed out a bit. When did you put the hammer down? The first lap was pretty hot I thought. Did you have any unusual problems? There was one log I endo'ed on every lap; it wasn't even a hard log; it just owned me. Were you happy with the way the race was run? Yes! Thanks for having us, Hershey. Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)? Well, Scott, Romolo and I were cursed at by the last place SRI while trying to pass him 5 minutes into the race. Amazing! Anything you would like to add? Thanks to Guys Bikes, Cannondale, Turner Investments, Sidi, Giro, Michelin and Pedros for their sponsorship of Guys Racing. See our new site at Guysracing.org.
