How was your fitness level going into this race?

Pretty good- the warm spring has meant plenty of training miles.

Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?

Right in front. I'll have that beeper figured out next time.. :-)

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yep.

When did you put the hammer down?

When Nick Johnson, Romolo and I got onto the pavement on the 3rd lap, things started to slow down, so I punched it up the hill at the end. I figured it was time to doubleteam Romo, but Nick couldn't follow him. Romolo hung on till the hill after the lake, then dangled there till we got into the sloppy singletrack on the last lap.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

It was grand.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
