How was your fitness level going into this race?

It seems to be about the same as always what ever that is.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

Yes, I didn't want to be left too far behind because there isn't much room to pass in the beginning.

Were you strong from start to finish?

No, I started to fade in the third lap when my legs cramped.

When did you put the hammer down?

Probably in the beginning of the race.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No not really.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, this is a really fun course and it was well marked and the water stop kids were right on target.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Well yes. I had no idea that I had won my division. I was leading the whole race for a while and then Karen Henry passed be and then Kristine passed me at the end of the second lap. Apparently I never saw Karen have a mechanical so I had no idea that I was leading again.

As always I want to thank my husband Brian and my kids as well as my team. This is a great series and it wouldn't be as much fun without this great web site.
