How was your fitness level going into this race?

It was not as good as I would have liked. I got sick this week and I still was recovering from the Fitchburg stage race, but I guess I still had good form.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

Yes, I was first.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I was real strong at the start, but I did fade a little at the end. Six hours is a long time.

When did you put the hammer down?

First three laps I was really going hard and then I fell in to a nice pace for the rest of the race.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Yeah, I wasn't ready for the mud, so I didn't have any supplies, and I lost my back brake on the second lap, but that just made me faster.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

I guess, but the prizes really sucked. I kicked my butt for 6 hours and got two tires. They didn't even have the awards during the other races awards. It really sucked. If they don't change it for next year I don't think I will be back.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

No, I just rode by myself most of the way. I did see a Deer once.

Anything you would like to add?

Yeah, I would like to thank Kelly Cline for breaking his chain, because I think he would have beat me if it hadn't broke....
