Racers will compete at each event for series points. Individual
and team points will be kept. Series awards will be given out to top three
in each class at each race and end of series. Overall series prizes will
be distributed at the final race. EACH RACE PROMOTER WILL HAVE THEIR NORMAL
AWARDS IN ADDITION TO SERIES AWARDS (in some cases more than three deep).
All races will be NON-NORBA. No license will be required.
It is each rider's responsibility to check with each promoter
for complete race details.
Riders must be self-contained and self-reliant. The individual
racer must make all repairs during the event. No outside support is permitted.
All competitors must wear appropriate riding attire and
helmets.
All equipment must be in safe working condition.
Only the 10 highest scoring riders
will be counted for any one team. All other
riders on the team that enter a race will receive 1 point. For example
if 20 riders raced for team A and the top 10 earn 400 points - total team
points would be 410. Individual points are not affected
by team points.
A rider can only be affiliated with ONE MOUNTAIN BIKE
TEAM while racing in the series between April 8 and September 30, 2001.
For example, Tinker Juarez - Cannondale may not race on the Action Wheels
Team just for this series.
The race official will be permitted the final decision
regarding any protests.
Protests can be made only by and against racers in the
same class.
Protest period is 15 minutes following the posting of
complete results for their class.
All races will be cross-country events.
