The Wooden Wheels mountain bike team has three new additions this year. Mark Nickerson, John Thompson, and
Joey Thompson.
Mark Nickerson, an Expert Downhill and Cross-country racer and active member of the DelawareTrail Spinners (aged 45) will be a great asset being the fastest Master on the team.
John Thompson (44) will help increase the Master strength by moving up from Beginner after taking a 1st place win at Mickey's MTB Challenge AMBC in Hopedale, Ohio. John is the father of Justin Thompson - a local star who is the United States best shot for a World Cyclo-cross win this year in the Netherlands.
Joey Thompson is already making a showing by placing 3rd is his first ever race (The Mid-Atlantic Cyclo-cross Championship Series Final '99 - Fair Hill Park, Elkton, Md)!! Joey is just 14 but moving very fast. The Thompson family will be a force to be reckoned with in 2000 and will help make the Wooden Wheels mountain bike team as strong as it's ever been.
